Asian Soles And Feet On A Red Couch

This is a simple barefoot study of Asian soles and feet on a red couch, nothing more elaborate than that. Lea sits on a wide red suede lounger in a white tee and black leggings, her 5’5″ (165 cm) frame folded forward so her size 5 (EU 36) feet reach the edge of the cushion and her bare soles face the camera head-on. Behind her the wall is raw wooden planks and a small stack of firewood, a cabin-style background that makes the red upholstery look warmer than it is.

Sole print in full view. Her sole print is the centerpiece of every wide shot. Small heel cups, softly wrinkled arches, a clean line of toes at the top, and the faint natural glow of a French-style pedicure: bare pink nail bed with the thin white tip that professionals call the smile line. She keeps her feet together most of the time, so the sole prints mirror each other in the frame.

Details that make it hers. A delicate script tattoo in Arabic runs across Lea’s right collarbone, just above the crew neck of her white tee. Her hands rest against her jaw between movements. Her long dark hair falls over one shoulder. She watches the camera with the neutral expression of someone who knows exactly what her feet are doing at the bottom of the frame.

Every flex writes a new pattern. Every slow flex draws a new pattern across the balls of her feet. She holds a position for two or three seconds, then eases into a new one: feet together, feet split, one foot up, both lifted. The soles stay at camera level the whole time. Nothing rushes.
