I was cleaning a private office late one night and the boss's son had left his browser open on a very specific kind of site - foot content, multiple tabs, clearly not finished. I closed it without touching anything but went home and looked up what I'd just seen out of pure curiosity.

The risk of being walked in on. Starting something on a couch even though a roommate might come home, a bathroom at a house party, the kitchen before guests arrive - the possibility of interruption makes everything feel twice as intense.

My favorite pedicure is purple plum or dark blue. The most memorable compliment: a coworker told me my feet look like they belong to someone who sleeps well, which was ironic considering my schedule. My favorite shoes are slip-on work sneakers and simple black heels.

Hardly. I work nights and clean toilets - I've left embarrassment behind in a big way.

I would film an empty-office video where I sit on an unoccupied executive desk at 3 a.m., peel off dirty work sneakers and dusty socks and prop my warm bare soles on the leather chair while cleaning supplies sit in the background.
