Two pairs of heels sit under the table, and the camera watches from below as she tries each one.
Simone sits at her kitchen table with the camera locked at floor level, looking up through the table legs at her small EU 37 (US 6) feet. She starts in black stiletto mules, switches to red mules partway through, and goes barefoot between each change. At 5’5″, her feet are framed by the table legs and the chair base, and the seven minutes of under-table footage capture shoe play, tiptoeing, and wrinkled soles from the angle nobody at the table would see.
The spy angle creates intimacy. The camera sits on the tile floor, looking upward, and Simone’s feet move above it in a space that feels enclosed and private. When she slips out of the black mules, her bare wrinkled soles press flat on the tile – small, creased, red-tipped – before she reaches for the red pair.
The shoe change is the structure. Black mules first, with dangling and dipping. Then barefoot, the wrinkled soles visible from directly below. Then the red mules, a different silhouette and color but the same small feet inside. Each transition gives you three different versions of Simone’s feet in the same under-table frame.
The tiptoeing happens during the barefoot intervals. She rises onto the balls of her feet while seated, and the soles lift off the tile to show their full wrinkled surface from below. The red toenails press downward, and the arch curves sharply above the floor.
The kitchen tiles, the wooden table legs, and the chair base are the only set elements. The mundane quality of the space is the point – these are feet under a table doing what feet do, except the camera is there.
Seven minutes from below. Black heels, red heels, bare soles, and a tile floor that reflects all three.
